We have a variety of consultations at our clinics in order to fit each pets needs.
Our customer experience team or our online booking service will probably ask you a few questions when you are making an appointment for your pet in order to allocate the best amount of time and vet to suit your needs.
All of our clinics run by appointment as we know your time is precious and we don’t want your pet waiting unnecessarily. Like any human hospital, emergencies are just that. We will always triage and prioritise any animal that comes in needing urgent medical attention.
What happens in a standard veterinary consultation?
- Long consultation times (30 minutes) to allow us to give you our undivided attention and perform a thorough examination
- Full history – this is the most important part and a skill to master. Our pets cannot tell us where they are sore but a vet is able to work towards finding a diagnosis by taking an accurate and thorough history (even though this may be a drag for the humans)
- Full physical examination; even if Fluffy has a sore elbow, it is important to perform a full physical examination every time so we can watch out for other signs of a problem
- We, like you, like to treat a problem right away if possible. If we need more information however, sometimes we will discuss a treatment plan with you that may require a blood test or imaging (x-ray/ultrasound).
We strongly believe preventative medicine is the key to your pet living a healthy, happy life which is why we offer a range of services to meet all your companions needs.
