If you want to know why your dog is barking, ask a veterinary behaviouralist.

Stabler and Howlett offers behavioural consultations to discuss, assess and treat any behavioural problems you are encountering. These include but are not limited to:

Our team has Fear Free certified practitioners who aim to improve the mental wellbeing of your pet as well as the physical wellbeing.  Using considerate approach, gentle patient handling and keeping you informed of what is happening at all times, we aim to make every visit as pleasant an experience as possible.

Mental health disorders in pets are just as important to recognise and treat as any physical illness.  Debilitating anxiety, distress, fear and subsequent aggressive behaviours are a leading cause of euthanasia in pets between 6 months to 3 years old.  With early intervention and appropriate treatment, many pets can live long happy lives.

We provide a holistic approach to behaviour medicine by examining the entire dog physically and conducting a thorough history to pinpoint areas of concern.  We then target treatment using environmental enrichment, behaviour modification, medications and monitoring.  You have access to a qualified veterinarian with addition behaviour medicine training to allow for a flexible and consistent treatment plan.  We also work with some of the leading specialists and residents in Australia and refer complex cases.

Utilising positive reinforcement and neuroscience we can assess your pet and provide appropriate advice and treatment.

Consultations are tailored to the concerns for your pet and vary in length.
