Originally hailing from Mackay, I couldn’t wait to get back after graduation. I’ve been working at Stabler and Howlett Veterinary Surgeons since 2011. I love the variety and randomness of our days – there’s never a dull moment. I have a particular interest in large animals – especially beef cattle. With that focus in mind, I’m working with Dr Bruce Howlett to provide quality service and diagnostics to all our clients in Mackay and surrounding districts.
I currently have two animal family members at home, after recently losing Miss Maggie. Georgie is my little tiger, who I hand raised from one week old, after she was dumped at the clinic. I’m starting to suspect she really believes that she’s a tiger. Despite her ‘big cat’ ways, she never fails to meet me at the front door when I get home from work, and loves nothing more than snuggling at my feet every night. And then there’s my hairy man Chester – a Catahoola cross Staghound, who has finally graduated from the ‘terrible twos’ (thank goodness!). He’s the most affectionate, goofy (and not to mention, shaggy) member of our family.
They both keep me busy, but of course I love spending time with my entire family (which includes both furry and non-furry members). When I’m not at work, you might find me running, wakeboarding, or cooking a delicious meal.
