People come to see a vet essentially because they care about their pet, and being connected to someone through that is a positive thing in your own life.
I joined the Stabler and Howlett team in 1987 straight out of high school, and worked full time for 15 years until my son was born. I now have two children and work part-time in the Office Manager position. I doubt I would have worked at the practice for as long as I have, if it wasn’t for the incredible team of people I work with. I truly believe I work with some of the best people in the industry.
At home I‘m joined by a mixed menagerie, who all keep me busy. Dusty, my Cattle Dog Cross, is a rescue council puppy that came into our lives in 2013. She was born the day after our old dog of thirteen and a half years passed away. We also have three chooks (Shelly, Trevor & Buddy) and two Eastern Bearded Dragons (Galaxy & Pepper).
In my spare time, I enjoy playing touch football, camping and water skiing with my husband and two children. I’m a hockey-Mum, so most Saturday mornings you’ll find me at the field or volunteering at my children’s school. When I do manage to get some time to myself, I love reading or catching up with friends over coffee or lunch.
