Veterinary Nurse
Certificate II in Animal Studies

I’m responsible for running the Puppy Preschool and love seeing all my four-legged students progress to graduation over the month-long course.’

I joined the Stabler and Howlett Veterinary Surgeons team in 2012. I primarily look after the North Mackay clinic, and I really enjoy seeing the many familiar faces (hairy and non-hairy) there. Of course, it’s great having new clients come in with their family members too.

Aside from looking after the Puppy Preschool, which gives me lots of scope to pursue my interests in animal behaviour, I also enjoy looking after our patients each and every day. Caring for them when they’re ill, and seeing them make a full recovery, is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Working at Stabler and Howlett Veterinary Surgeons has also allowed me to meet and treat a variety of different animals, including horses, goats, cows and guinea pigs.

When I’m not at work, I’m kept busy at home with my three fur babies. Saffyre is my very cheeky black ninja cat, Spencer is my very cute Dachshund who fancies himself as a ladies man, and Chevy is my rescue Rottweiler who is the sneakiest of them all – she’ll go to the beach any chance she can get. Luckily, I like going to the beach in my spare time!
